I type my thoughts at 4AM

I just signed offline, had a great night with my webcam and my friends. Dressed up as Pikachu.

Every October night I spend on my webcam I'll have a new costume. Halloween is the best time of year!!

I'm not going to be online again for a while with my trip to NYC coming so soon.

I can't wait but I will miss my webcam community! Maybe I will sign online during the drive, borrow internet from my phone

Last time I was in New York it was a great time.

I'll be visiting with Christian Saint again. We have a project to do, can't give you info on it though. I think anytime I ever do a shoot with Christian you guys wont know what's going on until you see it. Surprises are fun

Almost got all my costumes prepped and ready to go for the con. I'll be finishing that up Sunday and Monday

I hope that's enough time because we leave Tuesday night.

Toronto Fan Expo was so much fun, only problem was I didn't get a lot of sleep. Maybe 2 hours each night. I have a feeling it's going to be the same for this con. It will be worth it though!

This will be my second time ever working at a convention! It's really exciting to welcome new opportunities into my life, I have butterflies

Mary Jane - FanExpo day 1

Soooo.... yes, on Thursday I was running around FanExpo Toronto in my Mary Jane cosplay. For those who have asked, my top was made by the LOVELY Adala Clothing I am so happy to see the amazing response Mary got, especially considering this was my casual costume of the weekend.

Thursday was so much more than I expected and it really set the mood for the rest of the weekend. So many AMAZING individuals came to visit me at my booth, I am so flattered and grateful to you guys!

Running around away from my booth was a lot of fun too, but speaking of that, I do apologize to those who went to visit me while I was away and missed me. Once I got out there and took a picture with one person, it kept going until I had to cut people off "GUYS, I GOTTA RUN, COME VISIT MY BOOTH IN ARTISTS ALLEY" lol

Also so happy I had such a great booth buddy. really made my weekend even better which I wouldn't have known was possible without him. His No Laughing Matter print got quite the storm of WOW's too. If you haven't seen it yet, go throw him some love:


We have been looking into the possibility of other conventions, it was just so much fun we can't get enough. It's all we have been chatting about.

No MFC tonight, and now I am SCREWED!

I was just about to get ready for MyFreeCams when I realized "HOLY HELL, I'm so disorganized, FanExpo is on THURSDAY"

I've got crap to do that I neglected. I was going to put it off until last minute and then I realized. THIS IS LAST MINUTE OMG! I have plans for a shoot with Gaunted tomorrow, extra long session with the trainer and plans with my family on Monday then I planned for Canada's Wonderland on Wednesday with sideshowsito.

I can't believe how scatterbrain I am sometimes.

I still have to color my hair in time for the Sonic Cosplay. Hopefully I can get a hair appointment on Tuesday. (crossing my fingers that I will have time this day to both shop for my last minute costume items and sign on MFC)

Lovely little me hasn't even earned enough on MFC to cover my rent yet. That being said, I desperately need offline tips. If there's anything you guys want, skype dates, photos, videos, please just let me know as I wont be able to sign on MFC until Monday the 26th. (or hopefully this Tuesday)

Extra Sad because I think Mr. Navarro is going to be in town on Tuesday... so I wont be able to see him :( I miss him.

Anyways, guys please let me know if there is anything I can do for offline tips. I am royally screwed.

So, I got my birthday wish. Top 50 on MFC! Even better, #TeamVera finished at #46. It was a crazy month and I am so grateful for everyone who contributed. I was sent so much love and I'm still feeling it now. My birthday show was incredible fun too and I just can't believe how wonderful everyone was to me.

So, July is over. On my birthday after the big show I saw Despicable Me with my very good friend Gaunted, the movie was fucking adorable. Thanks for the great Birthday date babe! Then I went horseback riding with my family. My parents and baby sister bought me a Loki Hot Toys figure. I couldn't believe the gift I was freaking out hardcore when I opened it.

Now that the birthday festivities are done I have big plans for August. Going to do some reading, painting, and buckle down on my website.

Top 50 Progress

Soooo... As you guys know I'm working my butt off to my birthday goal. If you don't know, I wrote about my birthday goal here.

Now what I didn't tell you is I have big plans to fix my teeth as a birthday present to myself. Yes, Indeed. Since I was a kid I always wanted braces, but my family couldn't afford them. Additionally, my 4 front teeth are fake from an accident I had when I was younger. Rollerblading! Fucked me up bad. Anyways, I've needed crowns on my teeth forever to keep them protected but haven't been able to pay for them. So, I have to be careful or they break and then I have to pay for that. lol... ANYWAYS... Hopefully, not anymore because if we reach goal I will be able to get my teeth fixed and never have to deal with this bullshit and insecurity again. I've been waiting for this since I was 12!

So, at one point I was completely upset, crying and just felt like shit because I thought I had lost all chances at top 50. But I worked my ass off and was VERY LUCKY to have some AMAZING new people help out. In one night we climbed from #95-#64. It was amazing!!! I was smiling and laughing and when I went to bed I was dreaming of MFC

Now, I've been spending the last 3 nights since trying to break #65. I'm #60 right now officially since last night. WOOT WOOT! Better news? I woke up still #60 this morning! DIDN'T DROP, not even one spot! I'm so damn happy about that

Anyways, there is so much hope in my heart for this!

I really need you guys though. I need #TeamVera. If we can get top 50 tomorrow then we might actually have a chance at keeping it before the month end! I'm both nervous and excited and grateful for you guys! Crazy mix of butterflies in my tummy.

July 24th, day started out pretty bad... upset because my roomie is moving out... then I signed onto MFC and we rose to #60, so good!!! Do you guys think we can get #50 tonight?

I LOVE YOU! And thank you for getting me this far, even if I fail, I may not get my birthday wish of getting my teeth fixed and reaching highest rank I ever have. But I will be forever thankful to how crazy amazing you guys are and everything you've done for me this month!

Anyways, serious mental dilemma about my costume... Should I color my hair blue and do a braided/fake mohawk or buy a long girly blue wig? I feel like the Hawk would bring so much more to the look, but do I want to bleach all my hair? ... twice?? ... Because I'll def want it back to red after. Might be worth it though as I'll have prints and such, then I can keep the blue for a limited time? AHHH I DON'T KNOW

Snow White and a Tattoo

Three great things happened so far this month.

1. Had an amazing Snow White shoot
2. got my tattoo touched up
3. Northern Ink Exposure convention

1. Shot with Artifice and Jeff Hui again. Love working with them, but I feel this in particular was an experience. Something about the opportunity to be a Disney princess really makes a girl giddy. Got the first Image back too! here it is:

I'll be posting these on my DeviantArt as I get them to share :D Very possible that we will be shooting more stuff along these lines in the future ;)

2. On Sunday June 9th Nick Chaboya flew in from Cali to see me. On the Monday I met with him at Good Point Tattoo and he darkened up my sleeve. It's looking great and healing so beautifully.

Feeling so happy with it. Last time around I had an issue with the healing process. At some point during my night of rest my arm got stuck to a blanket and I ended up pulling a big ass chunk of the fresh tattoo out. Was pretty depressing. But that's over now, all darkened up and looking good.

3. Northern Ink Exposure was this past weekend. It was originally in the plans that I would be getting a tattoo from Nikko Hurtado but plans got all screwy. He didn't realize he had a seminar on the same day that he booked with me :( shitty buzz. But all is well, there will be other opportunities to meet with him and get started I'm sure :) I did however get to chill back and watch him work on the Saturday. This guy is my hero let me tell you, his work is flawless, absolutely jaw dropping.

I could have sat there and watched him do the entire tattoo. I'm super bummed I didn't get my tattoo started though. Watching was just a little bit of torture.

In addition to this, I was a VIP at the NIX with CAAC. lol, yea, I love the CAAC! Brought in some prints, and Gaunted had 2 of his works up in the display. Both of me *flattered*

NIX was a good time! I didn't go out and party afterwards this time around though. I was pretty exhausted and wanted to sign on cam. I did, but only for short amount of time, I was super dead.

Now, today, I'm laying in bed typing out this blog while I be a little baby. I saw my personal trainer for my assessment on Monday and she killed me. I have spent up to 2 hours at the gym and never have I felt as shit as I do after spending less than an hour with her. I was supposed to do every Monday and Wednesday, but I had it switched to Monday and Thursdays. Thinking I'm gunna need the extra day to recover. Not looking forward to getting out of bed, but it's about time now. 4:00PM... ummm, yes I think so.

I'm going to see her again though, that's for sure! Her birthday is August 5th, and mine August 1st so I'm thinking I'll aim to be there around that time. I'll be visiting California with Gaunted and sideshowsito so I'll know our plans for sure when I get back to Canada and chat with them. Going to be a good trip! Looking forward to it.

Anyways, I'm sitting in the hotel now trying to figure out the rest of my trip. Because of the cancellations yesterday, I officially have nothing going on here anymore. So.... I don't even know what I'm doing. I'll figure it out

4:30AM - Brooklyn New York

It's 4:30AM. I'm in Brooklyn NY at the Holiday Inn with Krysta Kaos sleeping next to me. Today has been crazy and as tired as I am... I'm not ready for sleep.

Yesterday was SO great. Met up with Christian Saint for an AWESOME shoot. My world = Rocked. I cannot put into words the amazing that is Christian Saint. After leaving studio, we had a wicked sick collaboration creative KABOOM -insert more confusing words here- shoot when we got back

This entire trip was MADE by yesterday... however... right now...

I'm experiencing a combination of happiness and frustration.

On one hand I'm having the best time with Krysta. This woman is hands down the best chick I have met in a long time. Super chill, and a very similar attitude towards life as myself. There is such a great vibe between us, I am super lucky to be hanging with her

On the other hand.. things didn't go as planned today. We experienced a hiccup that cancelled our first shoot today, and from there it was a domino effect that crashed out our other shoot plans. It was a mega bummer but from what I'm hearing this is what happens when you travel. *shrugs*

This is a first time in Brooklyn for both of us, and a first time traveling out of Canada EVER for me so I guess something was bound to go wrong. :P I think more than anything I've learned not to rely on wifi and just pay the roaming fees phone companies fuck you with. If we had gotten our emails today it would have been better I think.

It's all good though, we figured it out.

Met up with Christian Saint again this morning to finish up some stuff, then he recommended a fucking KICK ASS 5PM breakfast for us at a little place called "egg"

Food was delicious and the mimosa's kicked my ass. Yumm Yumm Yumm.  - Thank you Christian - Then we booked a hotel with a jacuzzi for some party time. Stopped in at a bar for drink of choice and tequila shots. Needless to say it was a fun time

Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe

Something about writing shit down... makes everything better. :P When I started this blog I was thinking about the frustration of the beginning of the day, now I'm smiling at the last picture I just posted. Krysta Krysta <3 I love you momma!!!

This has been a great trip, and nothing can take away the memories. I'm going to sleep. I have more New York adventure ahead of me tomorrow.

MFC news

So, I woke up this morning and my Internet was down. I called my Internet provider and they need to send in a technician to fix it. The tech won't be here until tomorrow. So, there's nothing I can do to get online. 

Tonight was supposed to be my last night online before leaving for New York.

I've got a lot to do between now and my trip so I wouldn't be able to say if I can sign on again or not.

Also, can't guarantee if I will be online during my trip either. Depends how busy I am.

If I do get a chance to see you guys, I will post a tweet. Twitter and this blog will be my main sources of communication from now until I get home.

NEW YORK

I'm going to arrive in New York on the 22nd and I'll be meeting up with Krysta Kaos to spend my trip with her. On the 26th I'll be catching a bus to head back home. 

My bus is a 14 hour trip, so provided I have access to the Internet, you can expect another blog from me on the 22nd so I can kill time on the bus. 

Last time I sat on my ass for 14 hours I was being tattooed. And it was broken into two days. My ass royally hurt after that so... My ass is going to hate me when this is over. lol

Anyways, I'll blog again on the 22nd. For now, I'm off

It's been a while since I've been active on Zivity. Been so distracted with MFC and Top 100 that I haven't had the time. But, when Steve Prue asked me to shoot with him in Toronto it was obvious to me I had to get back in the game.

I'm very much into this set. It's different for me, but I find my style in general is evolving and this set is a great representation of that. Welcome to the feminine glamor doll side of Vera Baby, but don't you worry your little soul darling, my heart is still black as night.

The Update

So, we did it! #78 for April 2013! Thanks so much to everyone who helped.

So, this blog is to update you on my current status.

I'm with family, spending the night at my parents place right now. I'll be home tomorrow to take care of things I had to neglect during our top 100 month. Got a lot to catch up on

I'll be back on MFC either Saturday or Sunday. Can't tell you just what day yet, but I should be able to post some schedule Friday morning :)

the month is coming to an end... Top 100, April 2013

This month has been so lovely.

I've been so crazy happy hanging out with my MFC family, so many awesome moments, funny conversations, a month filled with smiles. Made some time for some photo-shoots this month too, we have some great stuff to come.

Today, I feel tired. I slept in through my entire shift... so bad! Can't believe I did that but, the month of non-stop GO GO GO has really caught up to me. As much as this month has been fun, it's also been a lot of work and stress.

Tomorrow, well...

TOMORROW IS THE BIG DAY

Last day of April and our last day to secure our spot in top 100. We are #93 right now so we're cutting it close.

Tomorrow will likely depend on the power of Team Vera!!! lol, my hope is to lean on you guys first. If not, it's going to be a struggle to the finish, but I'm still going to push for it either way.

Last time I did top 100... In February I got this epic picture

It's been my desktop picture for a while, motivating me. SO MANY HEARTS <3 I can't even believe how crazy. If I count correctly there are 39 hearts in that image. Right now we have 22 hearts on our wall... think we can beat it for this months picture?

Hearts this month are SO much more colorful :P I love it!


So, tonight I'm going to rest. Cuddle with Lucifer and hope to goodness that we don't drop from top 100 while I sleep. Then, tomorrow, the BIG BIG BIG day, I will sign online from 5:00PM - 3:30AM and see how high we can climb, or if we can just maintain... I have no idea how crazy tomorrow will be.
